SSC Parents,
As many of you are aware, the first tournament of the "MESH" program with the Shaker and Mentor clubs was held in November last year. Some of the Solon U10-12 boys traveled to Columbus for the Fall Classic tournament following training for a few weeks prior to the tournament.
This 1st MeSH tournament was a great success. The teams responded very well to the training, as all three teams played high quality soccer with coaching by professional coaches from the Shaker and Mentor programs. The teams took on well established club teams and had great success - the U10 team went undefeated and won the title, the U12s made a great run to the finals and lost a very close game, and the U11s also played very well, finishing 1-1-1. The boys also enjoyed being away with each other at the hotel.
Our U10-U12s boys involved in the program are getting ready for their 2nd MeSH tournament. Training will begin again in a few weeks and the MeSH teams will be participating in the Cleveland Indoor Classic Tournament the weekend of March 10th in the new CAPS Facility in Independence. This is a local indoor club tournament and the boys will be competing against established club teams. We anticipate our teams to again be competitive and do well.

This program has proven to be a very nice addition to the SSC program, providing additional training and experience for our boys. We will continue to offer opportunities to additional boys at SSC this year and as we move into the 2018-2019 season.
